Sharing about trafficking from one of our children’s homes in Kathmandu, Nepal
Elise, Zayd, and I use to worship at an international church in Nepal that met at this catholic church. A bomb just went off killing a school girl and another person.
As we are in America and go to church week after week, worried about our financial security, college savings for our kids, political future… many in the world who follow Christ face a different reality.
This email just came from Lazarus Thulung, who leads ServLife’s training Institute in Kathmandu and pastors the Great Commission Fellowship in the city. This letter just came from ServLife’s staff and director of our training institute. BBC story
Dear Joel,
Warm greetings from Nepal. This morning around 9 a.m., Assumption Catholic Church building was bombed by an Extremist Hindu group. I heard 2 priests killed and 12 were badly injured. Death number may grow. They started to attack the Churches demanding Nepal must be a Hindu nation. There was strong opposition when government declared Nepal a secular state.
As I was about to finish my sermon this morning, two policemen came into our Church and warned us not to welcome any new people in the Church. Which cause may difficult for us because there are always new comers in the Church every week. (more…)
