What is the false self to you? We all have the false self (that part of us perhaps is not what we are proud of.. what paul wrote about in Romans 8 “What I don’t want to do..I do” That part of ourselves that we care more of what people think of or have to “live up to” -  Perhaps it is the Biblical idea of “dying to self” —  Gal 2:20.. we have been crucified to the false self…The false self will fail us, dissapoint - It has me.

My editor for my first book and friend, Michael Warden,  just commented on my Facebook a great reflection to this.. “Death of the ego/false self sounds all spiritual and high-minded, but the reality of the process is more akin to being skinned alive. Only the brave and the desperate need apply.”
